Visit to Chocolate Happy Land
This spring, we brought our learning to the not-so-far-away land called Chocolate Happy Land. Here, the children’s food making adventure began. It was quite a busy session for the little hands, as there were lots of steps to be done.
In the cookie making station, the children’s hand-eye coordination was strengthened as they had to flatten, roll, and mold the dough. Next was every child’s favorite station: chocolate making! The children made their own chocolate by squeezing some liquid chocolate into the mold. Besides the fun, this was also a good exercise for their hand muscles. Pizza was next on our list. Once again, the children had to use the rolling pin to roll out the pizza dough before sprinkling some mouthwatering toppings on it. As they sprinkled, the children exercised their tripod finger which is the beginning of pencil grip for handwriting. The children were introduced to the ingredients as they experienced the process of making food.
There was a great sense of achievement as the children completed all the work. At the end of the visit, the children were still talking excitedly about their experience.
